LUCA FARINELLI ARCHITECT
CORN HOUSE
The client is a Portland based graphic designer with a personal project:
to build a small cabin for himself on his family's farm in Oklahoma.
In a collaborative process, we created a series of design exercises
- an Exquisite Corpse exercise - which bridged architecture and graphic design. This allowed for a series of discoveries which evolved into a simple and unique structure.
As the base for design collaboration, we proposed a series of abstracted building elements, and some instructions.
We asked Ben to create 3 compositions exploring the themes of surface, field and space using the abstracted elements of construction.
